Overview of Positions Offered There are various job titles in light industrial manufacturing with different roles and responsibilities. These titles can vary between companies, and the specific duties associated with each role may differ based on the nature of our client’s business. Production Line Worker/Operator Operates machinery and equipment on the production line, ensuring the smooth flow of the manufacturing process. Machine Operator Specializes in operating specific machines or equipment involved in the production process. Assembler Works on assembling components or parts to create the final product on the production line. Packaging Technician Focuses on packaging finished products, including labeling and ensuring proper sealing. Quality Control Inspector Monitors product quality throughout the production process, conducting checks and inspections to ensure adherence to standards. Material Handler Responsible for moving and organizing materials, supplies, and finished products within the production area. Forklift Operator Operates forklifts to transport materials and products within the manufacturing facility. Production Supervisor Oversees and coordinates the activities of production line workers, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards. Maintenance Technician Performs routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime. Production Planner/Scheduler Plans and schedules production activities to meet demand while optimizing resources and minimizing delays. Inventory Clerk Manages and tracks inventory levels, conducts cycle counts, and assists in maintaining accurate records. Line Lead/Team Lead Leads a team of production workers, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and quality goals are met. Packer Packs finished products into boxes or containers, ensuring proper quantity and presentation. Material Coordinator Coordinates the flow of materials throughout the production process, ensuring timely availability for production activities. Shipping and Receiving Clerk Manages incoming and outgoing shipments, verifies and records received materials, and prepares products for shipping. General Laborer Performs various tasks on the production floor, including cleaning, organizing, and providing support to other team members. Process Technician Monitors and adjusts production processes to maintain efficiency and quality standards. CNC Machine Operator Operates computer numerical control (CNC) machines for precision manufacturing processes. Welder/Assembler Specializes in welding and assembling metal components in manufacturing settings. Production Engineer Applies engineering principles to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and troubleshoot issues. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in a light industrial manufacturing or production environment is a plus. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work with precision. Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
