As a Elite Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to customers and staff. This is an armed and driving post, where your presence and professionalism contribute to a welcoming environment. You will deliver exceptional customer service, respond to incidents as needed, and act with integrity while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to provide reassurance to clients, employees, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or 5+ years of Armed Security experience. 
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification if required by the state of Texas.
  • Must have a active Texas Armed Security license. 
  • Possess a current CPR certification, if available.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
