Junior Estimator - Site Development & Civil Projects - Central Texas

The Role

An industry-recognized general contractor with deep Texas roots is looking to bring on a Junior Estimator to support its expanding preconstruction efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in construction or civil engineering who wants to grow their expertise in site development and commercial estimating.

You'll play a key role in analyzing project plans, assisting in take-offs, and preparing detailed cost estimates for a wide range of civil and vertical builds.

Working alongside a highly experienced team, you'll receive hands-on mentorship and exposure to full project life cycles, from planning to punch-out.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for excavation, utilities, and concrete scopes

• Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions for accuracy and completeness

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors during bid phases

• Help track bid progress, scope clarification, and subcontractor input

• Gain experience with leading estimating software and industry tools

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field

• 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating, site work, or project coordination (internships welcome)

• Familiarity with civil scopes such as grading, utilities, and concrete

• Competency with construction documents and plan reading

• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, detail-oriented team

• Knowledge of Bluebeam, Agtek, or similar tools a plus
