Position Summary The
Life Enrichment Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising daily
social, educational, recreational, spiritual, and therapeutic individual and group activities for residents. This role ensures programming is engaging, innovative, and aligned with resident interests, abilities, and life stories.
In addition, the Life Enrichment Director supports
occupancy and community awareness goals by collaborating with management to promote the community through events, outreach, and resident engagement. This role requires creativity, organization, and leadership, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities - Plan and lead a comprehensive life enrichment program for assisted living residents
- Organize and supervise daily activities, special events, entertainment, and outings
- Encourage resident participation and foster a vibrant, inclusive community culture
- Coordinate transportation services related to activities and events
- Maintain calendars, documentation, and compliance with state regulations
- Partner with leadership to support community promotion and occupancy initiatives
- Manage activity budgets and supplies
- Provide direct supervision of activity staff and volunteers as applicable
- Work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Qualifications & Skills - Prior assisted living or senior living activities experience preferred
- Strong creativity, organization, and planning skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with problem-solving, conflict management, and budgeting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for enhancing quality of life for older adults
