Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A staffing opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists in Fishers, IN, offering a 9-10 week contract with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance. The role involves working under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in a long-term care setting, supporting prescription filling and pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with filling prescriptions and medication preparation under pharmacist supervision.
- Collaborate with billing staff to ensure accurate data entry and reimbursement processing.
- Support prepackaging of medications according to established standards and regulations.
- Aid in the final checking process, including preparing prescriptions for pharmacist review and packaging post-review.
- Help maintain accurate inventory, including receiving, rotating stock, and recording lot numbers and expiration dates.
- Collaborate with the technician supervisor to ensure equipment calibration, safety standards, and cleanliness of the work environment.
- Note: This role does not include IV preparation; it is focused on fulfillment pharmacy technician duties.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Indiana pharmacist license required.
- Experience in staff pharmacy roles, prescription dispensing, and long-term care pharmacy preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow established regulatory guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday with shifts either 12 PM to 9 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM.
- Possible weekend rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
- The site requests pharmacy technicians every 2-3 months.
- Prompt placement is ideal due to slow update processes within the clients contracting.
- Candidates should submit an updated resume, skills checklist, at least one pharmacy manager reference, and a copy of their Indiana license.
