The Certified Nurse Midwife at CHRISTUS Health provides advanced nursing care in a busy OBGYN practice, collaborating with physicians and midwives to treat patients effectively. Candidates must hold current Texas certification as an advanced practice nurse and midwife, have a Master’s degree, and possess strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. The role supports high-quality patient care in a large regional referral hospital known for healthcare excellence in Southeast Texas.

Summary:

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join a busy OBGYN practice in Beaumont with a team of physicians and midwifes. CHRISTUS Southeast Texas--St. Elizabeth is a full-service, acute-care, 431-bed regional referral center, and is recognized both locally and nationally as the healthcare leader in Southeast Texas.

Requirements:

• Current certification to practice as an Advance Practice Nurse in the State of Texas
• Current Texas midwife certification
• One year full-time post licensure clinical nursing experience
• Education/Skills Graduate of a State Board and/or NLN accredited School of Nursing. Graduate of a State Board and NLN Accredited Advance Nurse Practitioner program.
• Master’s Degree required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with diverse populations including physicians, employees, patients and families. Leadership skills to direct others toward the successful treatment of patients.
• Analytical skills to evaluate patient status and healthcare procedures/techniques and to monitor quality of care. Fiscal skills to monitor and control costs and revenue.
• Ability to conceptualize, develop and implement new ideas or systems.
• Able to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties.
• CPR; ACLS preferred
