Pain Medicine - Physician at Indiana University Health summary:

Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a board-certified Pain Medicine Physician to join their mature and collaborative practice in Lafayette, IN, replacing a retiring physician in 2026. This role involves performing diagnostic and interventional pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections and radiofrequency ablations, with support from nurse practitioners and a multi-specialty referral network. Indiana University Health Medical Group isseeking a patient-centered, team-oriented Pain Management providerto complete succession planning for an upcoming retirement of our current Pain Management physician.Consider joiningour friendly, collegial, team in Lafayette, IN in 2026.

Position Highlights:

  • Practice in a busy, mature, robust practice. Enjoythe collegial setting with direct support of 3 Nurse Practitioners and support staff in the clinic and in the onsite procedural/OR rooms
  • Monday-Friday, shared call, described as minimal call of 1:5
  • Current physician, who is retiring, works 3 days in the ASC performing fluoroscopic procedures and 1 day in office performing office-based injections
  • APP's provide oversight of medication management and prep for procedures.
  • Minimal chronic opioid management with pain contracts
  • Enjoy referrals fromour Indiana University Health Physician multi-specialty group including yet not limited toNeurosurgery,Sports Medicine and Primary Care
  • Procedures include epidural steroid injections, medical branch blocks, radio frequency ablations, SIJ injections, hip injections and blocks
  • Scheduled blocks in the Surgery Center for procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Fellowship in Pain Management
  • Residency training, required in either Anesthesiology or Physiatry
  • Board eligibility or board certification, required
  • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana, required
  • Experience, preferred
