Base Pay Range

$150,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own assigned product categories, driving profitable growth via crossfunctional team leadership and managing the 4Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement) using a commercial, technical, financial, and operational mindset.
  • Identify, design, and own Product Business Plans for Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) / Cell Broadcast Systems / Public Warning Systems.
  • Coordinate the entire product development cycle with Technical Product Managers, from ideation through launch and its business lifecycle.
  • Ensure final products meet business and enduser needs.
  • Set milestones, timelines, and deliverables for technical product components in accordance with customer priorities.
  • Manage interdependencies to avoid bottlenecks and delays through close coordination with TPMs and engineering.
  • Review technical specifications with internal and customer technical teams.
  • Evaluate architecture, standard body specifications, and market trends to position and maintain market leadership.
  • Develop strategies to increase market share and improve customer satisfaction with existing products.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product lifecycle management in the Telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with Agile methods is required.
  • Handson experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web techniques.
  • Handson experience with cloud services and technologies.
  • Natural leadership skills with ability to lead in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong diplomacy and excellent communication skills with ability to present and communicate effectively to leadership, board members, owners, and customers.
  • Strong business P&L acumen; experience using financial tools, forecasts, reports, and data to make decisions.
  • Customercentric approach with focus on delivering products that meet customer and user needs.
  • Skilled at conducting market research, gathering insights, and creating business cases.
  • Strong experience strategically marketing Wireless Telecommunication products and solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with proven ability to improve business processes and reduce costs to increase efficiency.
  • Ability to identify and implement best practices and continual improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or business. MBA preferred.
