Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Response in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a positive experience for everyone onsite. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to situations as needed, all while upholding our core values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols both within the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious behaviors, hazards, or other security-related issues to the appropriate authorities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible security-related presence.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and authorizations as required by site-specific policies.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following established procedures for armed personnel.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, activities, and observations during each shift.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and adhere to all protocols regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
