Role: Manages the day-to-day operations of the personal care and skillednursing community to ensure the maximum levels of resident, family and staffsafety, wellness and satisfaction. This is accomplished by the provision ofsound fiscal management, effective marketing and public relations strategy andtaking into account Juniper Village philosophy, hallmarks, policies andprocedures as well as current federal, state and local regulatory standards.
Responsibilities: • Perform continuous, ongoing supervision of all leadership team members,including but not limited to training, disciplining, counseling motivating andevaluating oversees these functions for all other staff.
• Maintains astable, trained, competent and caring staff through an effective performancemanagement program that includes; recruitment, interviewing and selection ofstaff, orientation and training, performance evaluation, establishing clear jobperformance expectations, setting quality standards of practice, providingcoaching and counseling, associate retention and following established policiesand procedures and state, local and federal regulations.
• Provide soundfiscal management, including effective management of monthly expenses, trackingand collection of accounts receivable and oversight of accounts payable andmonthly cash flow. Develops annual budget and participates in strategicplanning.
• Ensure compliancewith documentation and record keeping to meet current regulatory compliancestandards.
• Ensure theprovision of high-quality care to all residents, including personal care,activities, nutritional services, medications, attention to psychosocial needs,and general oversight.
• Establish overallQAPI objectives for the community and assign responsibility for fulfillment.
• Provide oversightand direction for the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI)
• Create andmaintain a consistent process (e.g. scheduled rounding, active participation onquality committee) to stay informed of all QAPI efforts underway includingtheir progress and achievement.
• Program toinclude assessments, audits and improvement plans for key finance andoperations areas.
• Establish SafetyPrograms to assure resident and staff wellbeing and to reduce communityliability exposure.
• Plan andimplement a strategic community outreach program in conjunction with JuniperManagement to ensure that census goals are met or exceeded. Community outreachresponsibilities include development and placement of appropriate advertising,assisting in the development of marketing materials, participation innetworking meetings, maintaining a good relationship with referral sources andestablishes an effective system to manage and provide timely follow-up withinquiries and referrals.
• Plans andimplements a comprehensive, effective, flexible admission process thatincludes; making timely decisions on admission and obtaining necessarydocumentation and information to meet the needs of potential residents, theirfamily members, referral sources and community staff.
• Maintainspositive relationships with residents and family members and ensures regularongoing communication related to the physical, mental and emotional needs ofthe resident.
• Manages conflict,complaints and concerns with residents, family members, staff and others in aclear, thoughtful, direct and respectful manner that reflects the professionalintegrity of Juniper Management and Juniper Village
Educational / Licensure Requirements: • A valid NursingHome Administrator's license in good standing.
• A Bachelor'sDegree
• Previousmanagement and leadership experience in healthcare or service-related setting.
• Knowledge ofphysiology and psychology of the older adult.
• Experience inworking supervision of employee groups.
