The Senior Associate Director, reporting to the Program Director, supports leadership and management of the Conflict Resolution Program and serves as Deputy/Acting Director as needed. The role leads planning, implementation, and evaluation of program initiatives, with primary responsibility for CRP's U.S. work and expansion.
Key duties include supervising staff and contractors; overseeing project development, grant proposals, budgets, and reporting; and engaging in policy formulation, risk management, and program promotion. The SAD represents CRP with internal and external partners, develops strategies responsive to U.S. conflict dynamics, and fosters collaborations with government, private, and international stakeholders. Additional responsibilities may include fundraising, publishing research, and managing financial operations. Due to travel locations, Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) may be required.
Formal Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a field related to the program and seven years of professional experience related to the program and previous supervisory and program/project management experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Note: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to The Carter Center on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines. All non-exempt employees must reside within the state of Georgia.
