Leffler Consulting LLC is seeking to fill the Travel Coordinator position for one of its customers./

  • Position: Travel Coordinator
  • Location: Chantilly, VA
  • Position Type: Onsite
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with an adjudicated polygraph

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, evaluate, assign, monitor progress, and follow up with closure office responses to the COTR 
  • Serve as the agency’s primary resource for all deployment-related matters for official foreign travel temporary duty (TDY) assignments associated with deployment readiness, including short-notice travel requests, and filling gaps for critical/emergency travel requirements.
  • Ensure all deployment tasks comply with GDC guidelines and established processing timelines 
  • Conduct pre-TDY coordination briefings and verify that all travelers have completed the required training 
  • Process all foreign deployment requests, including monitoring Automated Passport and Country Status (APACS) submissions, securing required country and theater approvals, and verifying country-specific requirements 
  • Provide continuing support to deployed personnel worldwide 
  • Maintain the action tracking system and relevant databases 
  • Coordinate, review, and evaluate responses, ensuring quality, timeliness, and accuracy of responses are achieved. Provide daily deployment reports to senior leaders based on information maintained in tracking systems. 
  • Develop standard operating procedures and serve as a facilitator for user requirements 
  • Interact with management (at multiple organizational levels) and the technical workforce to draft, consolidate, coordinate, and edit internal and external correspondence.
  • Review, interpret, develop, streamline, and communicate policies and procedures that apply to the GDC, the agency, and the IC/DoD community 
  • Review, analyze, prioritize, ensure quality control, and approval through appropriate channels for all communications and materials leaving the GDC 
  • Manage records created and participate in Agency, Directorate, and Program Office Records Management processes 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support corporate initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant work experience, or a high school diploma (or GED equivalent) and 10 years of relevant work experience 
  • Demonstrated experience in one of the following areas: federal acquisitions, Department of Defense (DoD) or the Intelligence Community (IC), and National Security policy 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and ensure their completion 
  • Ability to work as a team member, sharing information and knowledge, and providing back-up support to other multi-functional team members as necessary
