Students will receive a project at the beginning of the summer and present it in our project expo at the end of the summer. Location: CT ON SOUTH PARK ST Shift: May 18th - August 7th Pay Rate: $18.00- $23.00 Key Responsibilities Your intern assignment is generally 10-12 weeks, and co-op assignment is generally 16-18 weeks and will include an assigned project and opportunities to present your work. You will also collaborate on other exciting projects and work with talented peers and inspirational leaders, many of whom began as interns and co-ops themselves. You will be provided a robust developmental experience through an immersive onboarding and offboarding experience, assigned a mentor, networking opportunities, organized events, activities, and community service /volunteer initiatives. You will have the opportunity to impact the future of the organization, all the while being exposed to a world-class program community. Finally, our rising senior interns and co-ops are considered for full-time employment opportunities. Long Description Position Summary Join Southwire\'s innovative Connected Enterprise team and gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge cloud and AI technologies! As a co-op student, you\'ll be at the forefront of transforming data into valuable insights that drive real-world impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development, with hands-on experience in JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML, and CSS. You\'ll be responsible for building and maintaining dynamic, responsive, and scalable web applications that support our business goals. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern frameworks and technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack. Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes. Integrate data from various back-end services and databases. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2.5 GPA. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or other relevant tools Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), JavaScript, Python SQL: Strong understanding of relational databases and query optimization. HTML/CSS: Knowledge of semantic HTML and modern CSS techniques. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling. Version control using Git. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Understanding of accessibility and security compliance. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills.
